⛰️Where: Bardon Mill, Hexham, NE47 7BP ⛰️When: Saturday 24th October 10am ⛰️Cost: £20 🥾 Next up we are heading to the beautiful landscapes of Hexham. Allen Banks sits within the North Pennines Area of breathtaking natural beauty and a hidden wilderness. With its deep gorge, carved by the River Allen and the largest area of ancient semi-natural woodland in Northumberland. Covering ancient forest and old, wild woodland this is an excellent setting for having an adventure. 🚶 This is a is 5.9 mile route and should take us 3-4 hours. The terrain can be potentially a little treacherous with varied surfaces and some inclines. During this time of are slippery autumn leaves underfoot to be mindful of. During the walk the path threads through gigantic boulders and crosses side streams and the River Allen on footbridges, with the gorge walls surrounding you. 💚 This experience encourages connection to our natural environment and promotes physical and emotional wellness. Delivered and fully supported by a Qualified Practicing Counsellor and a Trainee Counsellor. To set the scene: 🌳 Gentle Adventure 🥾 Guided Walk with Breathtaking Views 💚Meaningful Connection to a Wonderful Community 🧘‍♀️ Moments of Stillness Hoping we have dry weather to enhance the autumnal vibes that the forest will deliver this time of year for us 🧡 🥪 Please bring your own refreshments for hike, a snack and something for lunch. Please also wear appropriate clothes and footwear. In addition we would love you to end the walk and join us as a local tea room for a coffee chat and further connection! You will need some cash for this. 🅿️ Anyone who would like to join us will meet up at the location car park ready to experience a wonderful day. The car park is £5 for all day parking. 🔔As this is a 5.9 mile walk over a variety of terrains, a moderate level of fitness would be required to participate. Low injury risk.
